Orleans France 1964 -- 1966

Lived in Orleans, France as a result of my dad being in the U. S. Army. He was the Command Sergeant Major for COMZ.
I was 9 years old and attended Orleans American Elementary School for the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades while in Orleans. After looking at
my report cards, I was not a very good student. My teachers said I had no interest in school and wasted my time. Of course I didn't agree
I played Little League Baseball and Youth Basketball during my stay. I can remember the housing area we lived called Olivet Housing Area
The main Army compound was called Coligny Caserne, near downtown Orleans. I also played youth football at Harbord Barracks, the football
baseball fields were located here. Used to go to the movie theatre at Maison Fort on weekends. See the map below for locations.
We left France in 1966 after I had finished the 5th grade, I was 11 years old then. We moved to Killeen, Texas, specifically Fort Hood.
Oh yeah, I have a sister named Candy, she was a Cheerleader. I had no time to deal with a bigger sister.
