Petty Officer Second Class Felhofer reported aboard Kitty Hawk (CV 63)
in July of 1977. Assigned to the IM2 division of AIMD, and to the ships C-1A COD Crew as an
Flight Crew Plane Captain (FCPC). During his tour onboard Kitty Hawk, Petty Officer Felhofer
made 2 Westpac deployments. On each cruise, the ships COD was offloaded and detached to VRC-50
at NAS Cubi Point, RP. During February of 1980, the last night of cinderella liberty for the crew, he
met his future wife, Carolina G. Maure, a waitress at Sam's Pizza Hut.
They were married in September of 1982.
